    • I discover today that German for red is "rote." I always thought it was luft based on the English translation of the Nena song, "99 Luftballons." Turns out luft means "air." So there ya go.

      Also in other news: there was a white faced heron fishing under the Opawa Street bridge this morning. First time I've seen one so far up the river.
