    • Future Forests

I possibly may be the last person on earth to know about this but anyway . . .

There is growing awareness of the CO2 emissions each of us is responsible for in the course of our everyday lives. On this site you can calculate your emissions, and how many mature trees you'd need to offset those emissions (my household figure was about 6). Also, if you're travelling to New Zealand there's another calculator here you can use to find out how many trees your trip costs.

    • Well the audio drought is over due to an unexpected conjunction of enabling ("Isn't that a credit card in your pocket"), rule breaking ("Hey it's almost my birthday, I deserve more debt!") and pricing ("Holy discounted goods, these CDs are all on sale!"). So we're now in that awkward position of having too much new stuff simultaneously so that instead of listening to one album properly and developing a full appreciation you jump from one to another and conclude they all suck. Bearing this in mind, I'll spare you my conclusions for now on:

      • Moby, 18
      • Radiohead, Hail to the Thief
      • Bruce Springsteen, The Rising
      • David Gray, White Ladder
      • Massive Attack, 100th Window
Especially as most of these albums have been out for ages.
