    • Now everybody will be guarding their bananas

No sooner do my pack of Banana Guards arrive in the mail from Australia (the land of the $12/kg banana) than they get covered by Radio NZ. Curse you Simon Morton with your nationwide coverage and your eclectic consumer issues radio show. No it's OK; I love you really. Just stop announcing to the world the Christmas presents I'm giving this year. (Specifically: don't mention the ice Lego. Ssshhh!!)

Hmm I'm thinking of starting a blog of cool things to buy, but frankly that doesn't sound very environmental. Better would be a home experiments blog. You know: for kids. And for me. You know what? I really think I should do that. Maybe it needs to be a community site.

Actually I'm thinking of dividing this blog up, Balkanising it even. Ooh a word blog would be nice. I need some clones or interns.

Anyway, these things are totally sweet and they do work. I think they should come in a range of banana-esque colours though.
